Humble small speck of green utopia

From the surface seemingly motionless

Yet full of life, cilia beat ceaseless

Paradise to the paramecia

Translucent tendrils flow, pseudopodia

Amoeba disturbing the peace. Restless

Flowing like a river alive, seamless

Trapping countless clustered bacteria

Microcosm of creation magnified

Hidden beauty revealed to naked eye

Epic struggles, on a pathetic scale

Seemingly vacant, fully occupied

Countless creatures, myriad shapes flow by

A work of art, the microscope regales
